B1+.2 Business conversation and writing at intermediate level
Why is cultural awareness important for business people? What is the protocol and etiquette advice in your country? How do companies choose the best advertising medium? These are some of the questions we will discuss on the course.
You will also learn vocabulary connected to networking, giving descriptions and giving a talk.
In addition, you will discuss advertising and money and read the article A new kind of campaign and write a summary of your own campaign concept. You will also write an email confirming a project and explaining why it will go ahead.
In terms of grammar and vocabulary, we will study, e.g. noun combinations, language to describe trends and numbers, small talk and presentation of diagrams.
For written assignments, you will have the opportunity to write to write a report summarising interesting points regarding another culture and an email outlining your reasons for deciding on a specific investment. You will in turn receive feedback from your teacher.

You will have access to our online learning platform, Moodle, where you will find the course plan, teaching material, homework and other useful online resources for learning English, which your teacher has selected for you and your class. Via Moodle, you can also communicate with your teacher and fellow students.
The number of students on all courses at the Cambridge Institute is just 5-8. Small classes mean that your teacher has more time to help you personally during each lesson.
