B2+ IELTS Academic exam preparation + online practice - Online
Prepare for your IELTS test with online lessons
If you need to take the IELTS test for work or study, then this is the course for you. We will focus on the essentials of the exam and take an in-depth look at the four parts:
You will learn how to approach the various tasks in order to maximise your score and receive many other useful tips. You will also have the opportunity to practise all the skills in class, and continue with online practice at home.
Writing assignments will be given for homework, while reading, writing and listening mock exams will be held in class. Your teacher will give you personal feedback on your writing assignments and advice on how to improve your speaking skills.
In addition to the online practice, you will continue to have access to invaluable course material, videos and links after the course has ended.
Please note that this course requires a confirmed start level of B2. To find your current level, please take our free online test: cambridgeinstitute.dk/da/praktisk-info/sprogtest
Mindset for IELTS, Level 2 Student's Book with testbank and online modules (Cambridge University Press). ISBN 9781316640159.
You should buy the book before the start of the course. You can either buy the book online at academicbooks.dk or at their shop:
Øster Farimagsgade 5 A

How do the online lessons take place?
You take part in the class via the video conferencing programme, Zoom. Your teacher will upload a secure link to the class meeting room on our digital platform, Moodle. You and your fellow students will meet online once a week. You will work with authentic texts, video and audio clips as well as interactive group tasks. Online classes are similar to face-to-face classes in that you can work in groups, take part in classroom discussions, raise your hand and share your work with everyone.
The Moodle learning platform
Moodle is the online course platform of Cambridge Institute, which we use for all our courses. You will be given personal access to your course Moodle page, where you can:
- Find your course plan and teaching material
- Find homework
- Watch videos and click on links to useful English resources on the Internet uploaded by your teacher
- Find practical information about each lesson
- Communicate with your teacher and fellow students
- Follow the teaching and catch up if you are ill or absent during the course.
