You have developed your English skills to such an extent that you are now ready to focus on, for example, how to hold effective telephone conferences and write the minutes of a meeting. We will discuss the social aspects of doing business internationally including the unwritten and social rules and how to establish and maintain professional networks across borders.

We will also discuss business trips and listen to an interview with the Sales Director of a hotel chain, who talks about the needs of the business travellers who stay at the hotel.

All the above means that you will learn many useful new words and gain a lot of relevant knowledge you can use in your job.

You will also have the opportunity to discuss your favourite brands with your fellow participants and read the article Building luxury brands, which was published in The Financial Times. Finally, you will also learn about the most important differences between British and American English.

For written assignments, you will have the opportunity to practise writing emails for specific situations for which you will receive feedback from your teacher.

Teaching material
We recommend that you buy the book Market Leader 3rd Edition Extra Intermediate Course book with DVD-ROM Pack (Pearson Education ESL), ISBN 978-1292134772, before the course starts. The book has been developed in cooperation with The Financial Times. We will study selected pages from the first six chapters.
You can buy the book here: www.academicbooks.dk, or at Academic Books, Øster Farimagsgade 5A, 1353 Copenhagen K.

Practical information
You will have access to our online learning platform, Moodle, where you will find the course plan, teaching material, homework and other useful online resources for learning English, which your teacher has selected for you and your class. Via Moodle, you can also communicate with your teacher and fellow students.

The number of students on all courses at the Cambridge Institute is just 4-8. Small classes mean that your teacher has more time to help you personally during each lesson.

Preparation time: 1-2 hours per week.
